The briefs will be shared across our network of Universities, Colleges and Art & Design Schools, and open to their students and recent graduates to work on. They’re also open to anyone not in education, but also not yet working professionally in the creative industries.
The deadline for sharing work and ideas in response to the briefs is set for March 26th 2019. Entries will be judged both by teams from the organisations that wrote each brief, alongside a panel of professionals from across the creative industries.
Outstanding entries will be showcased and awarded at our New Now Live event at London's Barbican centre in September 2019, with those behind them offered internships and other work and project opportunities with our partners.

"Setting a live creative brief with YCN should be a page in every marketer's playbook" — Tea Ugow, Google
Past challenges have ranged from imagining what packaging for Google products would look like, to developing digital campaigns for the Department for Transport's THINK! campaign; from encouraging young people to drink more mill, to designing digital products and services for Action for Children.
"We were blown away by the amount of entries we received and the depth of thinking shown" — Cassandra Stavrou, Propercorn
Many past entries have been developed and used as for live activations, campaigns and other purposes, with the talent behind the thinking rewarded and engaged throughout. Internships, placements and other opportunities among the brands to have written their briefs, or within their agency teams, often support this process. The programme sets out to meaningfully and memorably engage rising creative talent, and connect it with organisations that value creativity in all forms.
Outstanding entries will be exhibited and awarded at London's Barbican Centre
This colourful evening of creativity, applause and celebration bring together all those commended as part of the programme, friends, family, tutors and course leaders alongside people from our partners to have set the live creative challenges.
